RTPI
Does anyone know when the RTPI system will start working? My Dad lives in Springfield and it has been on test for about 6 months.

RE: RTPI
From what I know, There are still a number of routes that still need to be installed on the RTPI/GPS System.

At the moment, just a few routes are setup, Those being 4/4A's, 5's, 7/7A's and 8's.

I don't know how it works in great detail personally, But looking at the screens in the bus shelters they don't seem to be able to show the difference between a 4 & a 4A and a 7 & 7A, so For instance the stop at the point would show the following:

4 WOLVERTON Due
4 WOLVERTON 10Mins

When infact one of them would be a 4A. So if only one of them goes to your estate then the current info isn't much use.
It does seem to be able to tell the difference between routes on the Drivers GPS/Real Time Screen.

Be interesting to see if they sort out these (minor) niggles.

I can only assume that the message about it being on test currently being shown on the screens will stay until all the routes are live.

It will also be interesting to see if the other bus companies that run routes in MK on tender to the council will also be gaining the GPS system, Currently in the evenings the 7E run by another company just displays "Refer to Timetable" on the shelter screens.

Oh and the system also doesn't seem to be able to display 4E/5E during the evenings and Sundays.

Sorry but I've probably given you more questions than answers lol
